I got my start in design as a research chemist, where I built voice interfaces that let scientists control lab robotics hands-free. What drew me in was how much design mirrors the scientific method: identify a problem, test a solution, validate, iterate. Design just moves faster. Instead of waiting months or years to see if an idea holds up, I can ideate, validate, and ship in a fraction of the time, and actually watch it help users.

When I'm not designing you can find me hiking around the PNW, hanging out in my local pottery studio, playing around with a new AI or motion tool, or training for my next 10k.
